When you're picking up students from roads around SPS make sure you SLOW DOWN and watch for students crossing. Longford Street is still getting congested at 2.45pm which we are trying to reduce. There are other options like parking up at Bean Place, Rayma Place and Keate Place.
Last term our inquiry was based around road safety and Travelwise. Here is a letter from the Mayor of Auckland replying to one of our students' letters regarding the alley-way leading up to Rayma Place from Longford Street. It is easy access for students to walk to and from school when they are being dropped off - it also reduces traffic on Longford Street.
Great to see that the action is taking place!
